Motor Control’s Evolution into Reconditioned Electrical Equipment

The Motor Control Center was established in 1948 at its current location. Before carrying a huge inventory of used and obsolete circuit breakers, the Motor Control Center was involved in the auto wrecking field.

In 1952 we started buying government surplus, mainly truck and tank parts. We also started to buy non-ferrous metals.

From 1960 through 1965, the Motor Control Center processed secondary stainless steel coils from Crucible Steel's Midland, PA plant.

We started buying and selling steel mill equipment and doing rigging in 1965.

In 1985 the company started selling pipe, valves, fittings and reconditioned electrical equipment and we continued to buy and sell non-ferrous metals through 1990.
